Just did an AVAST virus scan, the following items were UNABLE TO SCAN. The list took 4 1/2 full screen pages.(168 items) Each of the following had numerous files with the same reason for being. Best Answer: I run Avast and I just did a Full scan and noticed alot more 'unable to scan files' though I scanned through the list and know what all of them are and know they are safe. I CAN NOT say the same for you without knowing what software you have installed, and what the list of files look like, though (in my case) I am not worried one bit. I don't use Avast. I use Eset's Nod 32. Same as Route 44 has posted. I have used it for years. Its a good anti virus program. It will post to that it dose not scan certain Files.
A little while ago I noticed my 5 month old MBP wasn't running properly. It gradually got worse till the point where it became unusable as apps were crashing relentlessly. I brought it to the genius bar. They said the hard drive was a lemon and replaced it. Well that fixed absolutely nothing. Took it home and had the same problems so I decided to start running some anti-malware software.
Adware medic, Sophos, Avast, Clam and a couple others. Avast antivirus pro for mac torrent file 2017. They all found infected files and deleted them. This helped immensely and now my computer is running ALMOST perfectly. I feel it still isn't 100%. It's still slightly laggy to open drop down items from big folders, I get the occasional little glitch like a program not responding, some plugins I have are a glitchy and cause my software to crash but I think that's just cause they were buggy to begin with. My main concern is when I run Avast it says there are hundreds of files it cannot scan. Are these malicious?
